The process

Since 2022, I’ve led the design of Life, Hometown Australia’s beloved quarterly magazine. Each issue is themed around the seasons—reflecting our residents’ love of nature and the outdoors—and features heartfelt stories from real people living in our communities. The magazine is a key sales and marketing tool, helping to illustrate the powerful lifestyle and financial benefits of land lease living. It’s a true collaborative effort: content is planned with the marketing team and resident contributors, while I sketch early layouts by hand before bringing each issue to life in InDesign. The result is a warm, authentic publication that builds trust and engagement with our audience.
